Agra is the city of Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It is also a part of the Golden Triangle of northern India along with Delhi and Jaipur. It is a historical city like many of the Mughal rulers had Agra as his capital and his legendary for stories of Emporers Mughal Akbar, Shah Jahan, Jahangir, Aurangzeb and the Taj Mahal itself.

Agra is famous for its sweets, especially the "Petha. The main shopping areas are Sadar Bazar, Kinari Bazaar and Munro Road. One can take the sovenier the Taj Mahal as a memento of their visit or as gifts people at home. Leather goods like handbags and shoes are cheap and good quality can be bought near the Taj complex. Articles made of marble and brass are also worth a look.
