Any old languages / alphabets of Germany that have the word / letter of "discipline" in them?

Yes, this is for a tattoo, although very small. I want to have as a personal value as possible, so I wondered what kind of language evolved from German, or old people Germanic spoke. If ever there were no symbols or language-centered communication, were there signs of the word "discipline" or something close to that concept? Really do not know languages, so that could be completely out of here – Sorry! Any information would help. Thank you!
