Oriental Rugs Patterns

I am currently in Afghanistan and need help choosing an Oriental rug.?
What should I be looking for in terms of quality? How whether a rug is the real deal? Is there a pattern or color scheme that is more valuable. I will not buy and sell, but want a good rug. Thank you.
If you are looking for a carpet you should know or learn the differences … wool is best, but it must be defeated as much or doesn't reduce bleeding colors.alot rugs are handmade which is good, but many are made so watch Also beware prices obviously have a laptop to make a lot of research on the carpets of their textiles and the history of carpets can get real good bargains, but you have to haggle and Jews to down on their prices because if they say they are asking for 200.00 to be paid no more than 90 to 100 understand happy hunting carpet
