Need help with cats and dogs go to the bathroom on the carpets?

I just moved into a new house and am having trouble with my two cats and dogs go to the bathroom in the carpet. One of them has also been on my expensive oriental rug. What can I do to get them to stop doing this? What can I used to clean the carpets on which there will be able to smell of old urine / feces and go there again? I've tried to wash with soap and lavender carpet was / softener vanilla, put the blankets down and only go to them again. I have no idea what its use in the eastern carpet either. Should I give it as a lost cause and not go with the carpets in my house until the animals become accustomed to the new place? I've been here for 6 weeks. The dogs are 6 years old and cats are 8 and 10 years. I dogs out several times a day when I'm home and keep in the laundry when I am gone a wee-wee pad. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Ahhh it's not your problem. You put a pee pad on the floor for the dogs and ask to use it even though they are 6 years old?? Must be able to maintain throughout the day and do not need a platform to pee, however, see it from a point of view of dogs, here is a "carpet" you've put in the laundry I pee, so why can not I pee in the carpet out there or not or one on here? See the problem? Their dogs can not distinguish the difference between the pad and the pee carpet because you've trained those who urinate in the house is fine and has given mixed signals and confused them. Get rid of the platform to urinate and be consistent with burglary and strengthen out to eliminate. If you have two cats, do you have 3 boxes of sand? I had a problem with my cats peeing on my carpet over there was a "rubber" support, I do not know what it was but to urinate on them constantly, no matter how many times I threw in the washer. The dogs, an easy solution to remove the platform to urinate, the cats, so you need a box for each one plus one. If the box is dirty, go elsewhere. Cat urine is difficult to I suggest to delete to get rid of the carpets for a while. Good luck
