What to wear to a Chinese wedding?
I go to a Chinese wedding this weekend (California) and I am a little confused about what to wear. I'm white. My (Taiwan) boyfriend told me not to use black, white or red. The only clothes I have are black, so I bought a navy / white flower dress silk. I just found out the wedding is outside. Is it OK to wear a black jersey to her waist to keep my arms warm? What about a black bag / shoes? What happens to a chocolate brown or gray business suit (I'm desperate). Any suggestions?
Solid black is fine as long as it looks elegant … In your case, if you are afraid of black solid, floral dress goes very well with black sweater, handbag and shoes. Please donot use business suit. Since this wedding is in California and "outside", I think it's a wedding Americanize … do not worry too much:)
