As it is the only truly remarkable carpets Caucasians have the condition authentic old, there are some excellent examples of the carpet in the Caucasus that are worshiped by ancient antiquities dealers and collectors worldwide. These rugs can be traced back to the 19th century and are in a more or less perfect.

The weavers of the Caucasus learned the art of carpet-making in the ages 16 and 17 of the Persians and, like all people living in mountainous areas, which conserves its legacy of mastering the art of weaving carpets, through knowledge generation generation. A carpet of Caucasus in general, is a former central medallion, medallions of several or all of the design, but the concentric patterns are more common, for example, some form can be found at the center of a more similar or different. Some older Caucasian carpets have geometric patterns very dense and complex. Most of them are entirely of wool, but some have a cotton base.
