Well, you may, but need to keep in mind that acrylic yarns (like the red heart) does not stain easily (as they are synthetic), and the dying process thread Acrylic can be very dangerous if you are unfamiliar with the process of dying. The dyes used for coloring acrylic yarns are stronger chemicals, regular RIT dye and will not work at all. Given that you are working mostly with plastic strips, heating up, and the addition of chemicals to change color, can be a little more than one company to do safely. Do some research before attempting heavy at home, please!
