Blue Oriental

Oriental Longhair cat is a very long and slender like the Siamese in its body structure. It is also known as British Angora. First recognition of this feline was in the late nineteenth century when it was discovered to be different from the Persians in his coat and physique. This recognition did not last long and was only in the sixties that breeders in the United Kingdom started developing this cat seriously. He was named British Angora to distinguish it from Turkish Angora, a different race, and only recently, in 2002, that British cat fancies named as Eastern long hair.
A flexible tubular body is the hallmark of this slender but muscular cat. Coat is silky and long but only in layers. It comes in a variety of colors and patterns including apricot, blue, black, chocolate, cinnamon, beige, lilac, red, tip and brindle. Head is wedge-shaped almond eyes are usually green to blue in color. Odd-eyed cats have been well. The ears are large and pointed. Legs are long and so is the bushy tail.
Although hairy Easterners are usually fairly healthy has been no evidence of liver disease and heart in them. These include hepatic amyloidosis and dilated cardiomyopathy in some lines. There is also a slightly higher incidence of dental problems including the accumulation of plaque and gum inflammation. In general, while these elegant cats are healthier and live more than fifteen years in an indoor environment.
Intelligent and playful by nature, long-haired cats are very active East. They can be mischievous and demanding at times and are quite curious. As in relation to their Siamese cats, the Angoras British are very vocal and expressive. His fondness for high places is also famous. Even with their active lifestyles these cats need time to develop close links with their humans to be followed everywhere.
